N. KarazinKharkiv National University is one of the best and oldest universities in Ukraine. It is located in Kharkiv, the administrative center of KharkivOblast. Kharkiv National University is considered to be one of the best higher education institutions not only in Ukraine but also in Europe. In different years, prominent personalities who have made an important contribution to the world of culture and science have studied and taught here.

The university has a rich bicentennial history. The university was founded by VasylKarazin, a well-known educator, in 1804, and officially opened in 1805. The first name of the institution was the Imperial Kharkiv University. The institution received its current name in 1999.

At present, V. N. KarazinKharkiv National University has 23 faculties and institutes with about 16,000 students (by February 2022). 301 doctoral and postgraduate students teach at the institution. The studyat the University covers about 115 modern specialties.

Russia's invasion of Ukraine in 2022 has also been reflected in this educational institution. University buildings have been repeatedly shelled. In particular, on March 2, 2022, the building of the Faculty of Economics was damaged, on March 5 – theuniversity sports complex, on March 11 – the building of the Faculty of Physics and Technology, on March 18 - the Institute of Public Administration. Presently there is not a single surviving building of V. N. KarazinKharkiv National University that has not been damaged. 

The income from the sale of "V. N. KarazinKharkiv National University" Ukrainian Puzzles will transferto the special account of this Fund. It was created by the university administration to help students, faculty and staff affected by the war, as well as to rebuild the university buildings.
