"Russian warship, go away...!" is the phrase Ukrainian marines of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine from Zmeinyi Island in the Black Sea heard during the Russian invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, in response to the Russian cruiser Moskva's offer to lay down their arms and surrender. It has become a catchphrase and a global meme.
The phrase became a symbol of Ukrainian resistance and the invincibility of the Ukrainian army and spread around the world, and later became a meme.
From March 1 to March 11, Ukrposhta held a competition for the best design of the Russian Warship, Go! stamp, and the winner among more than 500 sketches was artist Borys Grokh. The stamp depicts a Ukrainian marine with his weapon lowered, looking at the Russian missile cruiser Moskva. The next day, a special redemption took place with the participation of border guard Roman Hrybov and writer Serhiy Zhadan. The stamp's circulation became a record for Ukraine's sales - 1 million copies. This is the first stamp issued in Ukraine after the introduction of martial law. The stamp was recognized as the best in the world in 2022 in the World Post & Parcel Awards 2023.
