Russia's invasion of Ukraine in 2022 has also been reflected in this educational institution. University buildings have been repeatedly shelled. In particular, on March 2, 2022, the building of the Faculty of Economics was damaged, on March 5 – theuniversity sports complex, on March 11 – the building of the Faculty of Physics and Technology, on March 18 - the Institute of Public Administration. Presently there is not a single surviving building of V. N. KarazinKharkiv National University that has not been damaged.
